Welcome to the the website of Telford Wado-Ryu Karate Club. The club teaches Traditional Wado-Ryu Karate, which includes everything from basic defence, to the more advanced aspects of Traditional Wado-Ryu which include Kihion's and Ohyogumite to knife defence for the Dan grades. We are affiliated to the U.K.K.W and the W.I.K.F which is headed by 8th Dan Tatsuo Suzuki Sensei. Through our club you will get the chance to go on courses and train with high ranking Wado practictioners such as Master Suzuki, Sensei Sakugami, Sensei Frank Johnson, Sensei Dave Allsop, Sensei Tony Utting and Sensei Peter May, just to name a few. Attending these courses when they take place allow you to train with others and get a more intense insight into the art of Wado-Ryu. We meet twice a week at Gaston Payne School of Dance and Drama, Stafford Park 15, Telford, Shropshire. Please use the links above to discover more about our club, and Karate in general. If directions are needed for getting to the club you can email me via the contact page or the link a little further down the page.We are a non profit club, established in 1984, with three instructors Sensei Russell Baker, Sensei Jerome Hamilton and Sensei Michelle Honeywell, who teach purely to pass on our love and passion of the art of Wado-ryu to others. This is also why our training fees are kept to a minimum. Training sessions are held every Sunday Mornings an Thursday Evenings. To learn more about our club, please click on the relevant links at the top of the page.If you would like to be notified when this site is updated,or have any suggestions or comments regarding this site, just send an e-mail to telfordwadoryu@aol.com , your feedback is welcomed. Please take a look at my kata walkthroughs i have posted on this site, and I would like to say a big thank-you for all the possitive feedback I get from other clubs from all over the country and even from two clubs in America that have asked for my permission to have a link so they can access the kata guides on their sites. With the amount of response I've had regarding these guides, makes the time I put into this website very worthwhile, so thanku!
