Chief Club Instructor Sensei Russell Baker 2nd Dan Wado-Ryu
Russell has been training in karate for over 25 years, having been one of the original students of his past Instructor Mike Salesman. Russell was 1st Dan Graded by Vic Charles in 1988 in Wado- Ryu, and earned his 2nd Dan October 2010 with Sensei Tatsuo Suzuki's WIKF and Sensei Dave Allsops UKKW in Wado. Russell also trains with Sensei Frank Johnson for extra trainning. Russ specialises in Traditional Wado-Ryu as taught by our founder Master Otsuka.
Club Instructor Sensei Michelle Honeywell 2nd Dan Wado-Ryu
I began training at this club 16 years ago as a total beginner and progressed to teaching at the club for the past 10 years. I was awarded 1st Dan in 2006, and earned my 2nd Dan grade October 2008 under Sensei Dave Allsop's UKKW and Sensei Tatsuo Suzuki's WIKF. I have also had additional training with Sensei Frank Johnson 6th Dan Wado- Ryu, since 2002. I specialise in Traditional Wado- Ryu as taught by our founder Master Otsuka and covers the technical side of Wado.
Assistant Instructor Sensei Lyndsey Ball 1st Dan Wado-Ryu
Lyndz started training at the club 8 years ago and helps out with the kids classes. She earned her 1st Dan Black belt with the UKKW & WIKF October 2009. She has also trainined with Sensei Frank Johnson in Wado-ryu for the past four years.
Street Defence Instructor Sensei Jerome Hamilton 1st Dan Wado-Ryu
Jerome has over 30 years experience in training in the martial arts, he has studied various styles and weapons over the years. He was awarded his 1st Dan in Wado-Ryu in 1988 with Russell by Vic Charles. Jerome specialises in street defence situations and weapons.
